08 Streetbob headlight wiring
Can anyone tell me the 3 wires for my headlight on the streetbob. Just purchased a new headlight and need to know what is the high low and ground. Can anyone help? Thanks, Nancy
When I took off my old light the wires were burnt and crumpled at the ends. Harley had installed it, why would that happen? It was an aftermarket light.

"the wires that go to the headlight are white green and blue not yellow white and black, help!"
When they swapped your headlight, they probably swapped the wire loom too. Do you still have the original headlight? it's probably got all the wires in it.
Here's a photo of where the wires go on a standard 2011 SB light plug housing. The arrows show the tabs for opening the plug housing (green), and for removing the brass widgets from the plug housing (red) so you can shove the wires through the hole in the back of the headlight bucket. Match their positions up to the positions of the wires you have. I hope that helps.

Sometimes people put higher-performance bulbs (or higher wattage) in to improve their light output (standard is terrible), but the significant extra heat produced can melt the wires and even the solder and plug housing. If you plan on using higher performance etc bulb, look on eBay for a ceramic H4 plug, which should assist. Otherwise, there may be an electrical short somewhere...

It's not the voltage but the power in watts that causes the heat...
