Front Tire question, opinions please?

The road snakes in Montana are about the size of anacondas; instead of being relatively flat as
they are where we live, they are up to 1" high and a couple of them scared the **** out of
me last year by almost snatching the bars out of my grip. The snakes we have aren't that bad,
but I don't think the MCIIs are as good on them as the Dung-Flops were..

which tires
Think about this, the longer a tire last's than another will tell you a little about the compound. A Longer life tire is a herder compound which will affect the amount of traction it will give you. A softer tire will give better traction but will wear quicker. Dunlops are a softer tire but do no have the traction of a Metzler and wear quicker than Metzler's, I've used both, can't speak for C II's never used them also if your ride wanders with grooved pavement or tar snakes than you might want to check front to rear tire alignment as well as rear wheel alignment. My ride stay's it's course..

Let me know how that works out. I'm not afraid to break conventions..

OP: opologies for the hijack.
I'm changing out my wheels to 16" front and rear this winter, it will be interesting to see what that does to the handling.
