Are James Gaskets trusted? I'm goong to be needing a bunch of gaskets this fall and wouldn't mind saving some money over OEM.

I've always used James and Cometic gaskets. Never had any problem with either; I won't touch the OEM gaskets

i know on my sporty, the OEm gaskets were just paper. the James gaskets where actual rubber. I believe some metal coated in rubber.

I vented my breather to atmosphere. Approx $20, simple but effective.

Like your signature. Does landing gear presence help too? Is that yours??? Beautiful, for sure.

Thanks, mine was N6482P. Never had an in flight photo of it, but that one is a dead ringer except for the tail number. Sold it few years back. Since you mention it, it might be time for me to change that sig pic. It still brings back great warm feelings that may be why I still have up there.

I should do up a pic of my Dyna this weekend and replace it.

Nah, leave it. Most everyone else, me included, use our bikes as a sig or at least avatar. Yours is unique. Had it been a bike, I wouldn't have even noticed it. A plane however, that is at another level completely.

FWIW, I remember reading the book Kon Tiki, I believe in Jr High. What an exciting journey he took.
