Default What did you do to your Dyna today?

Saw this thread done on another site- pretty cool. Post up what you have done to your bike today, an ongoing thread. Whether washing it, adding, or subtracting parts- post up what you have done today. It may give others ideas. Pics welcomed.

I did 2 things today. I painted the outer edge of my tail light. I was tired of looking at the red on the sides. The pic of the face of the lens looks like there is overspray on the edges, but that's an optical illusion.

I also installed my plates. I have the Army plates on my truck also.

At the risk of showing my age.....

I recently bought a '16 Low Rider.

I haven't ridden a Low Rider (or a Dyna) since I sold my 1980 FXS Low Rider in 1989 for one of them new fangled EVO Heritage bikes....

As one might guess, I am pretty Old School in my tastes. The bike was all stock, except for a Bassani 2-1 Upswept exhaust with a megaphone muffler. I am not against 2-1 exhausts (my '78 Low Rider had one) just don't like the upswept, megaphone look... I like the dual exhaust look...

No one makes the old school dual exhaust for that bike, so I chased down a '16 OEM dual exhaust from eBay. I found a set of now discontinued slip-on, slash-cut mufflers from Khrome Werks. I eventually located the various brackets & hardware...

This is what I ended up with. Suites me just fine....

I just want to say that I think Army license plates should be like a "Get out of Jail Free" card.

I think Army plates should prevent one from being pulled over for any and all infractions that don't involve harm to anyone else. And that most misdemeanors should be excused.

That's just me though.

Of course, that should only apply to the Army, all other branches should be treated like the low-life dirtbags they are, I mean, come on, we have to draw the line of dignity and respect somewhere.

Ouch, I'm in the Air Force. It's ok, I'll sleep in my nice warm hotel room while you freeze in your tent. Haha and to think...I was about to look on ebay for Tokico calipers for ya...
