Devin (the D in DK) has a 2000 Dyna and has the Visor Style Halogen Headlight on his bike. His opinion is the headlight is brighter than his stock headlight and shines farther but isn't as wide when shining. He is very please with the headlight being on his Dyna. Devin has the Black style on his bike. They come in Chrome also.

Not sure if this has been suggested in this thread yet, but if it hasn't...

Check that page of the club style thread out. Lightbars are cheaper than the daymaker and relatively easy to install.

I just installed a new led bulb from Headwinds specific for the 5 3/4 head light. Fit fine and is super bright. I believe it was $80.

Okay, kind of off topic but, today I replaced the stock bulb on my 07 FXD with a Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulb, seems brighter but I noticed that the inside of the lens looks smugged or cloudy. Question, anyone know of a way to clean the inside of the lens? I was thinking a cloth somehow secured to a thin rod or something but "maybe" someone has encountered this?

Pull the lamp and remove the bulb. Swish some rubbing alcohol around the inside of the lap.

i will try the rubbing alcohol, thanks. I thought I saw this mentioned somewhere else but can't find it again. someone mentioned removing the center deflector but it seem to me that that will cause the reflector to be less effective or does the darker tip on the bulb throw enough light back to the reflector? has anyone taken it out and if so, what were the results?

Just installed my FM LED retrofit kit in my 2013 WG and DAMN what a difference. Much Much brighter. I have 0 codes as well so thats a +. Going to go out riding later to see how I like it at night. Install took 10 min if that. Hardest part was getting the wiring to fit in the housing cleanly.
