They are single wire LEDs. You will need a load equalizer if you want to have them blink. If you're removing your factory signals then yes it's a bit involved but still easy.

Yup, pretty easy. You do need to remove your forks to fit them though and then if your removing your existing turn signals you'll need to wire (cut and solder) these on.

As getblended said, you'll need a load equaliser. I used the badlands one. was very easy to install.

I actually just bough the same pair. I know a guy and got them half off. $75 for lights and equalizers. Will be putting them on after my front end parts are powder coated.

There are cheaper, just as effective load equalizers, if your willing to do a little soldering. For $5 each (light) you can put the TruDual Converters from Custom Dynamics. They are down towards the bottom of the page. There is a video of my ride on this same page showing the are work with the rear lights, same process as the front, dimmer running light, brighter flashing light. I have used thes with many different setups, very reliable and CD's customer support is great.

I had these on my Street Bob and I used the Custom Dynamics Dual Converter. A couple of things to know.
  • These rings do not separate entirely, so you need to pull the fork tube out of the top clamp to get these on. (Unless Joker changed them in the last two years.)
  • If you want run and turn, you will need the dual converter. If you want turn only, just cap-off the running light wire from teh bike's harness.
  • Pay attention. There is a distinct right and left due to the direction the LED is pointing. You don't want to do it twice (like some dummy I know (me!))
  • The lighted portion is very small. Even though they are fairly bright, car drivers rarely see them flashing in the daytime.
  • The anodized coating will fade within a year. Wipe them regularly with SPF protectant (like 303 Aerospace coating.)
Overall though, they are nice. Very discreet and and good looking parts.
