They look nice. Pricey for sure. I have to say that I am very happy with the stock suspension on the new Low Rider. The triple rate springs front and back work well. The ride is much better than the three previous touring bikes I have owned. That includes HD premium and Progressive (softer springs) rear shocks. I suppose that has a lot to do with the frame/ weight of the touring bikes.

I'll be interested to hear a review from the first person on here that tries them

For $50 less, I'm going with Ohlins base line shocks valved and spring rate chosen for my weight, not Harley's standard 180lb rider.

I'm going out on a limb and asking how these are better than just about any aftermarket offering in the same price range?

Honestly I think they'll be decent and being emulsion shocks rather than the factory shocks which I think rely on some sort of friction and oil design to dampen, the ride quality/ harshness will be much improved for the average rider over factory shocks. However I think the adjustability will be a little more limited than most other threaded body shocks, they will have a rather stiff straight rate spring to start with, and less rider specific options. But as per usual the aftermarket is going to give you better value for your money. I mean with aftermarket shocks you have more selection, adjustablity, progressive rate springs, different valving options, and at the same price point or even less in some cases.

I have to ask who really makes them? I wouldn't think HD is making shocks but could be I'm wrong.

I was all excited about these, until I found out that they only come in one size: stock.

Since the single worst part of the stock rear suspension is the poor ride caused by the short travel, which is dictated by the short length, why keep the length too short?

I wrote a review stating that I would buy a pair if offered in a longer length. It was rejected.

I won't buy them.
