New Dyna Rider

New Dyna Rider
I recently moved from a 2007 Street Glide to a 2009 Dyna Low Rider with only 370 miles. That's right, 370 miles. A friend is a dealer sales manager. He bought the bike from a guy who bought it new and never found time to ride.
All I can say is wow! Compared to my Street Glide the Low Rider is over 100 pounds lighter. It's much faster due to the power-to-weight ratio. The Low Rider also handles and corners better, stops in less distance and gets better MPG. I added a detachable windshield, passenger backrest and leather bags.
The only trade off is the Street Glide's stereo. On the other hand, I rarely used the stereo because my (Bluetooth) helmet speakers and cell phone sound much better.
I'm planning a couple week long trips this year in Canada. Compared to my Street Glide, the Low Rider will be a nice change, especially when the road gets twisty.
I'll post some pics soon.

Good for you. The LowRider is a nimble, easy handling bike that's lots of fun. Had several of them and still love them. Never put a windshield on one, but I would suggest if you are going 2 up, make a few medium runs before you do a long trip. I definitely can feel the difference at the end of a long day. That's just me. ENJOY

Last July I went from a 2013 Road Glide (which I loved) to a 2014 Super Glide Custom with the 103 mill. My bum hip was causing all sorts of problems due to the weight of the Glide.
Haven't looked back for a second as the FXDC is a lot quicker and much more manageable. I'm really enjoying this bike. Don't miss the stereo system but do wish the Dyna had cruise.

I really love the tach on the low rider tank too, I almost bought one just like that with the sunglow red when I bought my wide glide, I bet it looks good in sunlight.
310 miles is crazy, it blows my mind hardly no one uses their bike to commute, I think I'm the only one in MD, I use mine to commute everyday I can, it's the whole justification for buying it.
I don't think it's gets any better than a dyna, the bikes have it all, power, looks & comfort.
