Default Bassani RR to Supertrapp...moving backwards?

01 FXDX with a 95" motor, 10.5:1 pistons, 42mm carb, mild headwork, Andrews 37g cams.

Been considering switching up my pipe (bassani road rage...the short upswept one) for a supertrapp

Looks like the tuneability would be pretty nice. Its a little longer so i wont get soot on my bags.

But, reading conflicting things after a google search tho. Anyone running a supertrapp? Opinions and experiences?

If the RRs are the 1D5250s, then you are upgrading on performance but looks and sound maybe, maybe not....

Not sure of what Bassani's you have but the Supertrapp is the best tunable pipe for performance. the sound however is a little off.....but sound is preference..... what model Bassani do you have or post a pic...

i actually like the looks of the bassani a little better. its just a little short with the bags and hits them with soot and heat.
ive never heard a supertrapp so youve got me thinking. i dont love or hate the bassani sound.

the increased performance is sounding good though....

Youtube has sound offs of the supertrapp, if you do change make sure you use a reputable tuner....

Default S&s 143"

The look and sound of a system is according to individual preference. So get the one that speaks to you.

Pug,
I've had them for a year now and I think they sound good. I went from V&H straitshots drag pipes. The Supertrapps are loud enough for the cagers to hear you, but not too loud that your neighbors what to kill you.

I would say no only because Ric @ Southeast Customs was a big fan of em and he has built ALOT of bikes over the years.
