jeez, I swear, the first day I wake up & it's above freezing, I'm getting the bike out,, this is crazy, March is hear and it's still this cold..

 

Ya all got it bad I feel for ya. Commuted on mine Tuesday. Won'ta the chance till nnext weekend if the weather channel is right about next weekend I'll get her out for a long ride.

 

we have had several good days for riding here in washington state for february, temps in the mid 50s up to near 60. if this is global warming, I want more of it.

 

I ride year round but it was pretty dang cold here today at 66°, brrrr.

 

It is always riding season down here. The temp is in the 40s and mid 50s so I layered up, put on the heavy leather gloves and leather riding jacket, and rode to work yesterday and again today......without the windshield or chaps and boots.

 

I ride all year long, could not ride today cause of snow. Road the past couple of days lows 27F just plug in my electric gloves and heavy jacket.

 

Why wait? Go ride. I started winter riding in 1956 and never stopped. Typically I do 6K a year plus/minus 1K. The riding season is Nov. 1 to March 31. This year I am at 7,200 miles.

Heated gear and layers allows me to ride down into the teens for a max of two hours. 20's I can go 3 hours. 30's up no limit except daylight. Don't winter ride after dark.

I did more this year in spite of the Polar Vortex as I added a Freewheeler and can tolerate some snow pack and light snow.

 

Well, the more you think about it the longer it'll take.
If you just forget about the anxiety of it,, you'll be riding soon.

Have fresh tank of VP MS109 to let'er rip and smell fresh race gas

 

I put a sidecar on my FXD this winter and as soon as the temps get up near freezing, I am going to climb into a snowmobile suit and start riding!
