Default Best paint for turns (Not Powder or Plasti)

I am sure there are 1000s of threads on this but I am looking for a good paint I can use at home to paint my turns. I am looking for simi gloss black. I dont really want to pay to have these powdered till I am ready for the rest of my parts to be. Just looking for something that can hold up for maybe a year. Looking to just pull them apart and paint them in a day. What can I do about the chrome? Can I just paint over it or blast it or what? Thanks in advance guys

Scuff the chrome, then a few coats of self etching primer, then a few coats of whatever color paint you like. Krylon & rustoleum have pretty good reputation. Appliance epoxy is used a lot on home paint jobs too. Less color options with the epoxy. You can probably only find gloss black. All cheap options though.

Prepping is the key - do it well and your paint job will last much longer than just a year. Take your time spraying - two or three light coats rather than one heavy coat. And make sure the air temp is conducive for spray painting; too cold/humid won't help the flow or the cure time. Hope it goes well for you.

As already mentioned Prep is the key to it lasting as well as a good finish..
I media blast then sand with 220 before painting any chrome plated parts..
A good etching primer or adhesion promoter before you apply any color..
