You should have a brake lever that is attached to the footpeg support and you`ll need a shorter shaft

HD Pilot,
My only concern for the OP is the shifter rod lever. Does he have the shorter one installed on the bike now or the longer one that comes with forwards or footboards?

With fwds, I would expect the longer shift rod. I was very surprised to hear that the shifter lever that runs through the primary was left in - makes me wonder which transmission shifter is installed...

I'm going to need to take a closer look when I get home, (AM). I don't recall seeing the other shift lever coming out of the primary, this being my first bike(HD) in a very long time I'm not up on all the parts. I wasn't sure, I thought maybe I could just move the shift lever back. I really didn't/don't want to remove the primary.

The reason it seems a bit odd is because the transmission shifter is different for mids or fwds, I guess you might be able to use one for the other but I would think if the correct transmission shifter was installed for fwds then you might as well pull out the shifter lever that goes through the primary... just wondering.

I went out and took a look at the shifter side, the lever for the mid controls is still intact and I have the original shift linkage for the mids. I believe this is going to be a cake walk, my only concern is the brake side now, I do have all those parts as well, but curious if theres anything I need to be aware of. Thanks guys.

Do you any of you guys know the Torx size for the forward control mount bolts? I need a couple but really don't want to buy a whole set.
Thanks Just need the Derby Cover and the forward size
