Default motor alignment help

How does one do a motor alignment? I have the manuel and need it dumbed down a bit for me. Im a very hands on learner. Do a lot of trial and error but feel as tho this is a saftey hazard so want it 100% the first time. Hopefully u guys can help.

I dont have an inclineometer how do i get around that.

Also how do i check if it is needed or not?

Why do you think it's needed, are you having a problem of some type?

Im haveing some new wobble or instabilities....im going to do a motor mount swap front and rear with a vt front mount. A fork service. A neck bearing adjustment engine alignment and new handle bar bushings and hopefully it cures my instability....my bike is an 03 ive have it for 2 years and it just suddenly started this wobble

I had a wobble recently that turned out to be time to replace the front tire even though it still had good tread, it was pretty old. New tire, no more wobble.

Nothing wrong with doing all the things you have listed, one thing I learned many years ago was that when you are looking for a problem, fix one thing at a time and then check until you get it...doing a lot of things at once can keep you from finding out what the problem was in the first place.

I'm on the iiPad so I don't know how to copy and paste.
When searching try using google. It will give you more to check.

My next upgrade: Custom Cycle Engineering front engine bracket.

Looks like it will make engine alignment a snap.

+1 on starting with the front tire, they get cupped pretty easily and can certainly cause a wobble.
