I recently removed my tank to install some handlebars, and took off the petcock to look at the screen while the tank was drained. When I went to put it back on, i realized i didnt notice exactly how it came off. There is a pick-up tube coming out of the screen that fits into the petcock, but there are 2 holes in the petcock the hose could fit in. I assume the tube fits into one hole, and the one without the tube is the reserve function. Anyone know which one the pick-up tube goes in? I put it in the hole towards the back of the bike, just want to make sure the 'On' position hasnt been swapped to the reserve, and vise versa.

 

Take it apart and you'll be able to figure it out, only 4 screws and you can check the vacuum diaphragm while you're at it. Took mine apart and found the diaphragm torn.
