thats awesome man. any details on what doing something like that entails?
I did it in my spare time at work. I ordered the switch kit off ebay. It is a Drag Specialties part that includes a fork lock. Took a one inch thick block of aluminum and milled it square to 3-1/2" x 2-3/4". Bored a 1-15/16" hole through the block where I wanted the switch to be located, then drilled and c'bored the two mounting holes for 1/4" socket cap screws 5/16" in from edge and 2-3/4" on center. Flipped the block over, relocated my 1-15/16" hole and milled out a "pocket" 1/2"deep allowing the switch to protrude out the other side. The last step was drilling and tapping the four 8-32 blind holes for the switch mounting screws. Just to break up the sharp edges on the front of the bracket, I rounded them over with 1/2"R corner rounding end mill. The wiring can be done with three individual wires and connectors or with a "factory" connector that comes with the kit.
