Have you double checked the install to make sure all of the connections are good? It sounds like a short or bad connection some where to me.

No idea what bike you have but maybe the light needs a load equalizer?

When I changed my rear turn bulbs for LEDs, I had to re-set the TSSM (my blink rate was fast and threw an error code.) It might work for you:

- Pull the front brake lever and hold it on.
- Turn ignition ON. Brake light should now be on.
- Push the left signal button, then push the right signal button immediately.
- This will reset the TSSM.

My blink rate has been normal ever since.

I don't know if yours is the same TSSM as mine (2011) or if the problem is fundamentally different, but hopefully that'll help.

I didn't have the security system concern, but mine needed a load equalizer, and I picked up two of these when switching to LED (one for the fronts and one for the rear)
