Default eBay fairing

I picked up this little fairing off eBay new for $35, it has that vrod look to it. Mainly I wanted it to hide the risers, cables and wires. It works for what it is, it's no windshield.

What are people running on Wide Glides? I am heading to Sturgis this year from Oregon and need something so I am not killing myself with my 10" T bars. I like the looks of the HD 1/4 and the AN fairings. What mounting are you using?

I'd like to know as well, 2011 wide glide. If it gets windy out I almost have to stop on the highway riding because my neck.

I know a couple of forum members are running the rifle roadster fairing on WGs, maybe someone with a Rifle Roadster can chime in regarding the amount of wind the Rifle blocks. I would assume the 18" shield would, but I don't know. I think they look pretty good on the WGs

As for the Ness Fairings, there is a specific Ness for Wide Glides p/n 06-087 for 2006-Newer and p/n 06-043 for 2005-and prior years. If you want to block wind hitting your head, Ness is probably not the way to go. It takes wind off the chest but I still feel a good amount hitting my helmet.

If you are wanting to decrease wind in the face, maybe you could go with the FXRT reproduction from JD Customs or Deviant Fabrication, or a couple others and write up a review for us. I want to know if any fairing is worth the $1,000+ they are bringing.

Wow, seriously? This isn't even close! Five out of seven holes for the windscreen on my Ness fairing don't even come close to lineing up no matter how much I try. **** poor. I can't even drill new holes because the front ones aren't even touching the fairing at all.

(I know the screen goes inside, for those that were questioning, I have it outside for purposes of taking the picture. Even inside it isn't close.)

Default Batwing fairing

I have a 09 FXD Superglide witht the 49mm forks. I have switched the headlight out to a 7 inch headlight found on JP Cycles website. I just recently installed the tsukayu small 6x9 batwing fairing with colormatch paint and used the supplied mounting brackets. This is the same company which manufactured my hard saddlebags.

tsukayu 6x9 small batwing fairing, speedo still located on handlebar clamp, but different mount, and relocated dash panel to fuel tank.

Replaced stock headlight with 7" headlight from JP Cycles.

Saddlebags are the Patrol bags from the same company.

Rides nice with fairing and very happy with being able to listen to my music.

The small fairing looks great with the 49mm forks and 7" headlight.

Default looking to get a fairing

just bought a 2015 Dyna Wide Glide and have been looking at several brands of fairings and have found that the Arlen Ness fairings need to have a bracket fabricated to mount the fairing to my Dyna, just wondering if its going to be a pain in the *** to fabricate to make the fairing work. By the way love seeing all the pics of different fairings.

Since we are discussing fairings... I'm gonna throw this out in case anyone can help.
If its in the wrong area, tell me and I will delete/move it...

I have an 09 Fat Bob with an HD fairing and HD quick-release mounts (cant be much more specific than that since they came with the bike so I dont have all the specs)

When I am riding at highway speeds there is a... "uncomfortableness"... to it. Its hard to put into words... it just feels "not right".
If I take the fairing off it seems to be lessened.
If I sit well forward in the seat it seems to be lessened.

It could be the fairing buffeting... it could just be that this is the first bike I have ever owned with apes (mini-apes) and I am just not used to it and I need to "man up" and get over it.
Point being that I am not ruling anything out.

I have had 2 different Harley techs tell me there is nothing mechanically wrong with it.
