Simple green and a brush? unless the spokes have been left dirty too long and are corroded. Then you are probably screwed.

Figured I would ask since I see so many people post about being cautious on what chemicals you should and shouldn't. Sitting there reading wondering how sensitive every piece can possibly be...lol

I live near the ocean so chrome and metals corrode quickly if not properly kept up. I use ProtectAll on every part of my bike including the laced wheels, since day one they've had a nice coat of ProtectAll so they are simple to keep clean - still need to jar your fingers and use plenty of elbow grease to keep them up. Once yours are cleaned up, just keep them coated with a nice wax or some ProtectAll and clean them regularly.

They're not the easiest to clean but they look the best imo, they are worth effort.
