I put the mirrors on upside down from bar ends. Basically they are under the grips.
THIS WORKS - BUT - I'm going to put custom bars on and won'T be able to mount bars there...
ANYONE..?
I had this issue with my street slammers.I just put on the long stem tapered mirrors that look just like the stock ones. I think they might come on some sportsters. Same height as stock but they sit out about 2 inches further and give you better vision behind you. Part numbers are: 91846-03 and 91848-03.
Iv'e tried four different set-ups including short extensions on stock length mirrors but I keep ending up with the longstems back on it because they work the best. I don't like not being able to see traffic behind me.
i bought some drag specialties mirrors for my last bike with drag bars. they were lower profile but longer arms. i liked them... check out your local non-harley bike shop with a tape measure. how wide were the bars you put on? im thinking of 29's myself, wondering if they will be too narrow.
I can't remember the brand but a few years back installed a mirror on the bar end of the wifes sporty...required a bit of grip trimming but you were no longer checking your armpits prior to changing lanes...I'll see if I can find a part# Later
