Default Rubber grommet removal

Anyone with tips and hints on removing the rubber grommet on the neck of the frame? I want to get at the wiring harness for my headlight.

You might have better luck pulling the plastice cover under the frame neck, above the front rocker cover. Not sure about that particular plug, but this way was easier for me to get to the wires for my bars.

I f&$ked around under there for an hour with the tank propped up and pulled back. Damned if I could find anything.

Shitty, I pulled the cover back and reached my fingers up there while I wiggled the wires from the outside 'til I found the right ones. Might have gotten lucky with how mine were routed.

I just grabbed it with my hands and more or less yanked it out. Spray with silicone and it'll be easy to reinstall.

Mine had a split at the top front. The split is vertical not directly toward the center but sort of parallel to the vertical part of the cutout so may not be easy to see. Just get a finger in the front section of the hole and pull out and down. Should come out with a reasonable amount of force.

Thanks men, applied a reasonable amount of force with an Allen wrench and she gave, got to the headlight harness in seconds once that was out....
