Smile Oil Temperture

I just got a Harley oil temp dip stick for my 2013 Bob. After half hour rides including highway and street on the same rides it reads 236F. I did get caught in traffic in town and believe it went up to 286. I do have a Harley Oil cooler. I know the 103 runs hot, even with my Power Vision tuner, but wonder what other members get. The bike runs well.

I leave the Power Vision mounted on my handlebars primarily to watch CHT, sorry no Oil temp gauge. Over time I realized that the only times my CHT went over 300 degrees was in traffic and stopped at lights. This is what drove me into getting the Wards Cooling Fans instead of an oil cooler - the engine needs help the most when slow or stopped and an oil cooler is the least effective at those times. With the WCFs, the highest my CHT gets is about 270 degrees, so I am very happy, especially living in Texas...

Bit of a side note about this: I've been wanting to get a black one for my '14 Street Bob, but by just looking at it, I think it would be too big to fit with my pipes.

I have V&H short shots on now, but soon going to 2-2 Big Radius.

Anyone have that set up with the digital temp gauge installed?

I'm always curious about how hot my bikes running.

Mid 200's is not super hot for oil temp. I think people get it confused with water temp sometimes when reading the temp.
