Default Rear license plate removal on a 2015 Street Bob?

When I bought the bike from the dealer, I added passenger pegs and a quick detachable sissy bar, which moved the license plate to the rear fender. I hate the look and just ordered a shock mount bracket, so how hard is it to remove the plastic bracket on the underside of the fender that now holds the plate???

It's not hard at all. Get a light and look up under the fender and take off what ever is holding it on and pull it out. Don't rip up the wiring, nice and easy.

Give a holler if you need more help.

Is it the same one you see on my bike below?

Yea man. Its a piece of cake.

The wiring will run behind a long plastic tab, through a hole in the fender, and plug in under your seat.

Super easy.

I bought the vertical shock mount bracket from DK and love it.

If you take out the bottom strut bolt if you have the bike on a jack, it makes under the fender access easier. Unless the signal pods were relocated which it sounds like they are, they may have to come off to move whatever bracketing there is under the fender, this would include the rear detachable point, probably.

too bad you didn't ask for the original parts after they installed the plate relocation kit. They charge like 300 bucks for the stock side mount if you go HD.

I hated the stock plate mount because it stuck out so far and you can't turn the plate sideways here in MA. I got the HD plate relocation kit but kept my stock signals. What I did was order a right turn signal spacer and use it for the left side because the stock plate mount makes the left one shorter.

Having it below the fender isn't idea looking, but I do like it better than the stock. Lessor of two evils.

I kept the stock side mount bracket, but I don't like the way it looks either, so I bought an aftermarket shock mount curved bracket.

Hey man, just happened to come across your post didn't want to leave you hangin cause all that talk about moving the plates and sigs was pissin me off too when I wanted to put the sissy bar on mine. If it aint to late check out BOWMAN sissy bars. Put it on my bike with no prob and no jack. No relocations involved.
