Default ppl with solo seats, use bib or no bib?

I have an 09 fat bob. Just scored an awesome solo seat from another member here, and he was kind enough to include the fender bib. So, after getting everything installed, I'm at a crossroads...

I have 4 foam bumpers on my fender currently. The bib covers them up just fine. BUT I'd like to run without the bib at all...but then I run into 2 issues:
1. I want to keep the rear seat bolt nut thing because I will still use my 2 up seat once in a while, but it looks kinda screwy with just a bolt in there.
2. What do I do about the foam bumpers? If I take them off and then use my 2 up I have a feeling my fender paint will get screwed up.

I have a feel the answer is, if you switch between solo and 2 up, use the bib. If you go only solo, then take the bumpers off and the reat nut and put the plastic plug in it....

Also, the bike is lowered some and I have big hands - i cannot reach up the underside of the fender to install or remove those nuts.

Default solo

Sounds like you have it figured out. The seat bolt is easy to change i just use a piece of hard wire and bend one end so the nut stays on and fish the wire up through the hole.

I'd take off the foam pads and mount some foam strips to the bottom of your 2up seat. I used foam that was made for truck canopys. Live and learn, bummer hearing you were taking off your fender.

You can also use zip ties to fish the bolt up through the fender.

on my 2014 fat bob I couldn't remove the nut for the original seat when I switched to a solo. turns out the nut also attaches to wires? or something on underside of fender...so I used a bib otherwise it would have just been a bad look.

Frank - that's possible, but I wouldn't know because the previous owner took care of that by bottoming out and ripping the wires out.

You could take those bumpers off the fender and glue them to the bottom of your seat.
I run a bib cause I like the look.

Take the foam pads off and use the fender bib under the passenger seat to protect your fender.
