Brakes will not bleed no matter what
#21
In the meantime...
The master cylinder has been bugging me since I got the bike this winter. Paint peeling and bubbling. And since I have it off the bike i decided to refinish it. I also stripped and polishd the cover which was pretty ugly also. Forgot to take some before pics but you get the idea. Either way it will look far better than before.
Since I am now waiting for the paint to cure up I was thinking of having a look inside the caliper. How are the aftermarket rebuild kits? And if I just split the caliper to have a look will I actually need to replace the crossover gaskets?

On Harley's I've always opened the bleeder on the caliper and allowed to leak for a minute, then pumped it, it was quick after that, I tried the traditional method of pumping the brake and releasing the air, but it never seemed to work, the twin disc lowrider takes a lil more time to bleed than a single disc. So one would be working on a double the air in the system. Walking away seems to work, and allowing gravity do it's thing.
