Longer bolt would've worked, also. The trans case has a tab for that mounting hole. Fully passes through. So, in a pinch, I could've put a nut behind there and got away with it. As it was, the helicoil worked. Torqued to the lower end of the specifications window.

I never torque those. Just snug them and you're good. Same with cam cover bolts

Some signs of progress, finally. Tomorrow might be the day...

Feeling that setup right now!

Looks pissed! 😎

Legs look so much better powdered.

So, plugged the headlight back in and it's not lighting up. Don't know what I must be forgetting. Pulled the lamp apart, all good. Wiring is all good... Does it just need to be all the way back together? Or, does it not light up til the motors goin? That doesn't seem right...

Check the pins in the connector to make sure they are all in. Light should go on soon as you turn the key w/ motor off.

Don't think it has anything to do with the dash apart cause its its own wire/connector.

Plug your dash panel in and see. I think I had the same problem when I did some stuff to my wife's Sportster earlier this year and if I remember right the headlight didn't come on until I plugged in the dummy lights.

Looking good bro can't wait to see it with the tins back on. If something ends up being wrong with the headlight I have my stock one I'd let go cheap. Im pretty sure it will work on yours but we'll double check first

I'll double check both these things... Tach, speedo, and dummy lights were all plugged in. Darn it. Was hoping it was something easy like that.

Hey XFXDX, can you post any good pics of what you had to do to the oil system going to your tranny case? Did S&S include the kit or was it separate? Any special tools or difficulties?

Mirrors OK?

Switch pods plugged in? Check the bulb. You did lay it down, the filament could just be broke.
