Default Center Fill Super GLide Tank Conversion on a 2012 FLD

Hey there-

New member, so I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, but I am neck deep in a project, and am wondering if y'all can help me out.

I am currently in the process of doing an overhaul on a 2012 FLD. Making it kind of a "FrankenDyna"...with street bob rear fender, wide glide front end, new bars, new wheels and tires, and a few other extraneous things (will post pictures soon...it's almost done).

What I am trying to do is also convert the tank / instrument cluster so that the bike looks like a 2010 Super Glide with the center-fill tank and bar-mounted gagues (see attached picture). I have a tank off of a 2008 super glide, the tank dash, the fuel gauge, and the fuel cap. The first thing I am curious about is the fuel pump and tank top plate assembly. I found a part number for a tank top assembly - 75243-04B - but I can't tell if that will work with the EFI version (I found the part number from a guy who was doing a similar conversion on a slightly older carbureted dyna).

So, question #1: Anybody know if this plate assembly (p/n 75243-04B) will work if I am trying to mate it up to a 2012 dyna (well, sort of - an FLD) with a 103" twin cam) ?

Question #2: I have a line on a fuel pump from an '04 FXDXI. I doubt that will work...but does anybody know if it might work? If not, anybody know which fuel pump I will need?

Will save the gauge questions for another post...

Thanks for any help or guidance!

Here's a link to a web site with HD part numbers: http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....artsfinder.htm
It looks like the information you have are the parts you need. As a matter of fact your fuel pump will work.
