heel/toe shifter

heel/toe shifter
I know there are several ideas and opinions about how or what to do in order to be able to accommodate dyna models for heel to toe shifters, but is there anyone that has a personal experience with anything that works for certain. The Dewey heel shifter is no longer made so any help would be awesome. I really want to put one on my 2009 fat bob. Thanks

I have personal experience and ride an '06 Low Rider.
Attached are links to two informative posts. I needed a heel/toe setup due to ankle issues so I was very interested in the topic.
The first post has the "Dewey" on Dynas with forward controls. The "Dewey" type shifter is available as V-Twin #21-0681. I had one for a year and a half and just sold it on this site last week.

The second type shifter is used with forward controls and on Switchbacks. That's what I'm using now. It uses the Dyna forward/Switchback stock shift lever that has been modified with a Softail shifter spline. Post # 30 has the details.

Pics of the Dewey and second type.

Wickster, was wondering what you did for heel to toe shifter? I have a 2015 Fat Bob need to do same thing do to foot/ankle issue. I talked to dewey, he no longer does heel hammer do to health issues and the v-twin #21-0681 isn't available anywhere? would prefer foot boards with heel to toe shifter combo but haven't located any that for sure fits my bike. just trying for some ideas. thanks KRZ

KRZ,
I put the gatling kit on my 2012 fatbob rather than the hd kit just to get the heel toe shifter. (have since gone to single shifter) The boards mount higher than you would think, I had to make lowering brackets (1.5") for mine so it didn't feel like my knees were in my chin. This made the shifter higher. I don't know if it will fit with stock exhaust as I cant remember when i changed exhaust to supertrapp 2-1. I am 5'10 so that may help you some. Do a search for gatling floorboards. I did find DK has them, here:

I think I paid about 400 so you could find them cheaper. Feel free to contact if any questions.

The factory FLD 'board kit runs $320-$330 or so from the online dealers & place yer feet in the "correct" location, vs. knees in the chin from the Wyatt's/FXDP boards.
You'll still have to figure something out for the shifter, tho. If you dig through the board, there area a couple threads on here from guys who've figured it out.
