FXDX-T Finishing Harley's work

Maydaymike: really like the look of your 'bob; reminds me of a "stripped" police bike from the 60's... ever able to scratch those floorboards? You must have the current version, off the Switchback. When I test rode the Switchback, the boards dragged way to easy; but you've got taller rear shocks...the boards for the pre-06 Dynas are police intended and I think they sit higher; I could be wrong...better/longer rear shocks always offer a ride advantage.

Latest Mods
Here's a pic with the latest mods.
Latest mods are Khrome Werks low rise drag bar, footboards and braided steel brake lines.
The footboards are a set of Kuryakyn Mini Boards set in the rearmost position. The passenger boards are NOS Harley originals. The fairing had to be moved out 1/2 inch to make room for the brake reservoir. The GPS is visible in front of the left mirror. Both mirrors are on longer Harley stems. Just one more thing to add; a very obscure piece from England.

I don't know about the "science" behind a fork brace, but I do know from personal experience that if you do much performance riding, a fork brace makes a substantial difference in stability.

True enough
You're probably right. Harley-Davidson has since increased the size of fork tubes on the Dyna two times, so 39mm is marginal for riding it hard. Since I'm turning 75 in just over a week, I'll take it a little slower. Should be OK.
