Default 2015 FDL hard bags on FXDB

I like the looks of the switchback FDL hard bags and would like to put them on my street bob. Is this possible and what is needed to add these to a street bob? I am also looking to add the quick connect docking system with detachable sissy bar. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

I'm sure it can be done. Just about anything can with the proper application of both time and money!

If you got the mounts on the bike side of the equation I would think you are set. I'm pretty sure you would need to move your turn signals.

Thanks for the info, I did some research and it looks like I for sure would need to move the taillights and side license plate bracket to the back. Not a big deal, I was more wondering if I would need to change the rear fender or not, or are there any other issues I need to consider?

I think the FLD has a mount for the bags on the bottom edge of the fender, which obviously your Bob isn't going to have. If you look at a picture of one without the bags you can see the mount.

There is a company that makes mounts to fit touring hard bags to Dynas, however. Don't remember the name of the company, but I've seen it advertised in various motorcycle magazines.

Edit: The company is called CycleVisions.

Yea, I see that now. Looks like I would need a fender. Where does one get a OEM FDL fender, Harley dealer? I wonder if the Bobs pipes would be in the way?

Hesh, it is a FLD not a FDL, and if you do it, I would swap the oem SB pipes to slash duals or a 2 into 1 pipe for clearance.

Cyclevisions has nothing for '09 up street bob... but I'm assuming this is only due in part to the tail lights.

Check out this web link. They make bag mounts for your bike.

I've been thinking about doing this as well. Its a pricey mod I think which is what is holding me off. Considering just doing FXDXT bags. If I were to put FLD bags on my FXDB I would want to replace the rear fender with a longer one. Does anyone know if the FLD fender is a direct bolt on or no? I don't think it is but don't know for sure. Here's a kit from Conely's but I'm not entirely sure it'll fit the street bob.

I have been looking for hard bags and mounting hardware for my 2013 Street Bob as well. Let me know if you find something that wont break the bank please.
