Default video of fuel pump priming and leaking?

Heres an internal shot of my 09 fatbob fuel pump priming... Is this normal or do I have a leak? I'm not sure if maybe there is a relief valve or something that opens when you get to a certain pressure?

Anyway, heres the video. I do have another thread going, but haven't gotten any responses lately.

Looks like the regulator blowing off excess fuel, which is normal.
What are you doing in there? Just out of curiosity.
While you still got it apart, might as well check that in tank fuel line for leaks as well. Common issue (I've been there).

Hard starting issues. Ppl pointed me towards fuel line leaks. I tried flashlight through filler hole and could see some turbulence but nothing obvious. I had some time today and figured wth, let's take a peek.

Sorry, I also expected to find leaky lines but didn't see anything.

The hole in the fuel line would be very tough to notice if you didn't take out the whole assembly. If you see little flat spot(s) on the fuel line, that is where its rubbing on the tank. If it is rubbing, it's just a matter of time before a hole occurs if there isn't one already.

It doesn't sound like to me that is causing your starting problems. I had a hole in my line, and always started just fine. All mine did was hesitate a little while at cruising speed.

Oh. Mine may have just the smallest surging at in town cruising but Hardley noticeable. I figure it's due to not having a $500 tuner. On highway she doesn't miss a beat

It appears that the pressure relief valve may be bad and letting too much fuel bypass. Don't know but that looks like a lot of bypass. Can you do a fuel pressure test to verify the correct pressure at the injectors?

I bet I could do that, but I'd have to check the manual for the procedure and what tools are needed. Unless someone here can quickly give me the procedure.

Just found the procedure. Looks like I need that special adapter and a gauge...

I replaced my regulator (because I thought it wasn't supposed to do that), and it the new one sprayed out just as much gas as the old one did and it does the same thing in your video.

I seriously doubt you're having fuel pressure issues. If you were, the bike would be running like crap & losing power. I would start looking at sensors. Try cleaning the crank position sensor, I've herd of that getting deposits on it, and causing starting issues.
