Stuck throttle and off center handlebars.
Just going over a few items with my 08 FXDL and sometimes find the throttle gets stuck around the 1500-1800 mark when coming to a stoplight. I can give it a few revs and it will still not idle down. Then 10 seconds later its normal. Happens about once every 3-4 rides. Bike is stock.
Also it seems the handlebars are slightly to the right. Never been dropped. Ive seen posts about them being a little off center to the right. Any fix to this? Bike tracks nice and straight though.
thoughts?

Is the throttle physically stuck? The throttle grip may be too tight against the end of the bar, just loosen the screws and move it out maybe 1/8". Check to see if the cables are binding while turning the bars lock to lock, or maybe they're not adjusted correctly.
If it's not a mechanical issue you just could have a dirty IAC, especially if it's never been cleaned. Get some throttle body spray and clean it out.

Same thing happened to me on my 06 Lowrider; Take off you aircleaner and get some carb or electronics cleaner, up in the throat is the TPS which looks like a small needle spray the crap out of it, then take a Q-tip and clean all up in it and around. You will be surprised at all the gunk that comes out, mine never gave me another problem. Hope this helps, Good Luck
