I'm glad I ran across this thread!...I have the sundowner seat for the wife when she wants to ride, but I've been looking for a seat for just me!...I liked the shape of the Corbin Gun slinger, but not the price. Checked out C&C's website and found their Fastback at a good price. Thanks Guys.

Can anyone tell me what the pan is made of? For the price, I would assume the underside has something to protect the paint on the fender?

Pretty sure the pan's metal. Carpeted very well. Very cleanly & nicely done.

How tall are you guys with the square back? I just called them and they said it sits further back than stock, around 18 inches or so. Wondering if my short *** will be able to use it.

I'm 5'7" depending on my boots, I have no issues reaching the bars or the highway pegs. The built in backstop keeps you planted when you get on it too. You wont be disappointed.

Carl '69, I do believe the pans are fiberglass, my seat weights about what my Solo Tripper does with the metal pan.

I have the squareback, not 18" but maybe 1" further back is what they told me as well as about the same amount lower. I'm 5'7" with 30" inseam and positioning is spot on for me.

5'7", 31" inseam. Seat "sets" me perfectly with the footboards & apes.

They do killer seats. For real, if yer looking for a quality, comfortable seat, you owe it to yourself to give C&C a call.

I am thinking of going with the Squareback seat for my Wide Glide...is it worth getting the gel in the seat, or is it not all that it's cracked up to be?

Never had gel & never felt the need. Using the right seat foam in the first place does wonders.

I didn't do the gel and can't imagine it being much better. My brother sent his out to Mean City, he found the seat comfortable but didn't like the heat it generated. Someone else mention something bout heat also. If I'd orders this this seat last year when I was looking at them, I wouldn't have gone through so many.
