I had my 05 Dyna 88 chain cams replaced with gear cams S&S 510 set and new lifters. The old ones had 22k on them and they look good. Is there any value to them? Now that the work is done I could have waited, the pads for the chain tensioners were only worn about 1 mm, they were pitted but only about 1mm. If they are of any value what should I ask?

 

I doubt they have much value since they never really wear out so people really aren't looking for them, ebay would be the place to check though.. I bet you could get $20 for them, somebody would buy them just to have, They would make neat paper weights.


how do you like the gear drive? Does it make noise?

No I felt it was a bit beyond me. Run out was .003.
