Going out on a limb here, but with the bikes being Canbus, I'm betting an aftermarket speedo is going to be a PITA. The tach you should be able to use the pickup wire already in the loom.

The avons I have tried putting on are definately for TBW. You have to muscle them on the throttle side, so much friction that it wont return on the snapback.

Put stock grip on and it's smooth as butter.
I fitted Kuryakyns. No problems at all.

Don't know where you live in Oz but take it back to the dealer to get them to fix it. I've had no problems whatsoever with Canberra HD fixing various issues I've had with the bike.

I am having a very similar problem with my LRS at the moment. I got stuck last weekend when I parked the bike and realized my "calipers" had been dripping and leaking on the ride and my bike was now covered in brake fluid. So I cleaned it up and had it towed home then to HD today for work. However, there is now more of a problem with mine and possibly yours as well.

I had wrapped a few a few towels around the leaking caliper so it wouldn't leak and sit on the wheel over the weekend. Well this morning when I was prepping the bike for pickup, I saw another pool actually on my wheel lip. It was NOT from the caliper though. Looking closer, it seems my "wheel bearing" is now leaking fluid as well. It was really wet inside the joint there and the puddle on the wheel ran directly to that spot. So now the caliper AND the bearing. This bike is really fast becoming a lemon.

In 9 months of ownership - with a total of 3,100 miles total - I have not gotten stranded twice needing a 4AM tow and have had 4 major repairs:

New Battery needed because the bike would just not start after running fine and being out during the day. Was in the shop 2x for the issue BEFORE they fixed the battery.

New seal needed because the primary case was leaking.

New seal needed because an engine o-ring was leaking.

New brake caliper needed because something is leaking and causing the fluids to leak out during riding and leaving me out on the bike with no brakes.

And NOW, something is wrong with the wheel bearing.

Back to to the shop for more work and repairs.

All work, service, and maintenance done at local HD as required.

Dont know what's going on with the bike as I've never had an HD continually break down like this needing repairs, especially being brand new.

Anyone else having problems like this?

Any suggestions on what I can do or expect from HD?

Thanks

my brakes come good I'm pretty sure, however I think I have the same issue as you with the wheel bearing. Not happy at all.

Other than that bike is absolutely amazing still.

Awesome! I'm getting ready to do the hcp 9.5 risers and lucky daves bar on mine. I love the hcp rotors! Pretty easy to setup?

Hi All,

I am new to the forum where I just picked up a new 2016 LRS. Paid $14800 OTD so I jumped on it. I put forward controls on it and was looking at exhaust. Right now I am considering the TBR or Bassani RR2 where I want to keep the black color. Do you know if these will work with the forward controls? I can call each company but figured I would see what people thought here. Any feedback would be helpful. The mod list is getting long!

Thanks,
Nick

Welcome.

Both will fit forwards or mids on this bike.
