VH told me i can switch to a clear shield for the OG look but id have to get a regular halogen light as the included led light sticks out a little more
Yeah, I kind of like that look. It's not the traditional FXRP but it looks clean IMO. I've already got a 7" JW Speaker LED so I wouldn't be using theirs, but I think I'll be going the VH route

Default LED not fitting

I have a BMC fairing on my 04 FXDL. Mike from BMC is the best and I've been super happy with the fairing. I'm having trouble though with trying to fit a Truck Lite headlight under my cover. It fits great in the bucket which I'm told is from an FLH. I know it's not the same fairing but the BBC fairing uses the same headlight without issue. I contacted clearview to see if they could mould me a cover with extra clearance but haven't heard back yet. Any help would be great. <br/>

Is the cover touching the headlight lens?

Yeah it's touching. I'm thinking of getting a Vacant House bezel instead of the lens cover.

I would call BMC and ask if its possible to fit a Daymaker in their fairing. If not, it must not be an exact repop and you would need a different headlight.

What did your mounting ring look like? If its stock, you'll have to open up that hole in the back with some tin snips. Or you can get the ring kit if you don't want to cut up your stock parts.

I think what I'm going to do at this point is go with the Vacant House bezel which allows for a taller headlight like what I've got going on. I like the

appearance as well.

I know this has been asked before, but what is the protection like with this fairing? Compared to say a HD Quarter fairing...do you find yourselves able to ride longer, more comfortably? How is it in heavy traffic? I'm between these two fairings but there is a significant price difference as the FXRP style ends up about 3x more expensive than the quarter...

I had to use a dremel to cut mine.
