I figure if anybody will know the answer to this question, you guys will.

I'm trying to help a friend track down a smoke tail light lens/cover for his 1997 Wide Glide. Everything says it's for '99 or newer.

Is there a big difference between the '97 and '99 that would make it not work?

It looks to me like the 97 is "flatter" where it mounts to the fender.

 

I dont knpw if this will help because my 99 WG has the LED conversion and a different plate mount than shown in the parts catalog, but here are some pics. I need to tear it apart and clean it up before I sell it, so I can also take other pics or measurents if you need.
