Default lowering front end on a dyna

has anyone lowered there late model dyna by sliding the fork tubes up through the top tree a little higher than the stock setting? I assume this would change the trail somewhat??

No, but that is certainly an option. Wouldn't do it more than an inch or so.

thats kind of what I was thinking. just wanted to lower the stance a hair without effecting the handling. probably just have to do it and do some test runs?

Yes it does affect the geometry of bike but moving them 1/4 to half inch wont be noticeable much. More than that and you will probably notice it while turning the bike.

I would put them where you want then ride the bugger. You can always loosen the triple clamps and put em back down if you dont like how it is!

I have (on a Wideglide) and couldn't tell the difference in handling. The geometry change will be the same as lowering by putting in shorter springs, just a lot less work and expense, and you get to keep your full suspension travel.
