dual disc swap
Looking for advice . I have a 2005 fxdi superglide I want to convert to dual disc . I already have the dual disc master cylinder. I found a good deal on a 1997 fxdl lowrider front end complete . will that bolt right on ? if not can i leave my trees and just swap the forks? thank you in advance Superglidebob.

They're all different from your 2005 FXD and won't directly interchange. You can work around some of that if needed. But you would be going backward on the brakes (1999-eariler Single Piston Floating Cals vs. 2000-later 4-piston Cals), although it would be Dual vs. your Single
Since your 2005 has a 1" axle & 39mm Tubes, if you found sliders from a 2008-later (has 25mm axle) Sportster dual disc model (883R, 1200R), they would be a direct interchange. You can use 2000-07 Sportys, but you would have to change your axle and bearings to 3/4".
Now if you could find some 2000-later Adjustable forks...You'd really be "Sittin' Purdy"
