Default Big Bore Questions?

Looking to upgrade my ol T from an 88" to a 106"
From my reading I can do this without stroking it or boring the cases
My main and only question is
Has anyone kept the 4.000 stoke and went to a 4.125 bore or just done a 4.125 bore on any stoke without problems?
Basically will this be a safe mod or should I go smaller... Im trying to keep from boring cases or splitting them if I can

Thanks

You would probably be better off posting this question in the Tech - Engine area. I am just about positive you cannot go bigger than about 95" - 96" on an 88" engine though unless you bore the case$.

Jim's sells a kit that works for 99-06 88" with no modification to cases bore 4.125 which is 106 anything past that requires case boring. According to Jim's and JPcycles. 95" and 96" are just the normal kit purchased due to price is my guess... they are a good deal less.

You can't go to 4 1/8 bore without boring the cases on a TC88.
Where are you getting the parts?

That kit is a stroker kit, new fly wheels. 4 1/2" stroke I believe.

I believe 98" is as big as you can go without splitting the cases.

4 1/8 is 4.125

Bore 4.125 and stroke 4.000 is 106.91

My main question is how safe is it to run a 4 1/8 bore

No plans as to where to get parts yet tho

I believe the pistons are different for 07+ Dynas.

No prob with running 4.125" bore. But you will have to bore the cases too.
Look at the Axtell kit.
