Hole in Inner Primary Cover for mid controls
I have a 2011 Super Glide Custom. It has forward controls but the primary cover was punched for the mid controls. My primary cover was damaged and I was replacing it with another cover made for forwards. My problem is, what do I do about the hole for the mid controls shaft in the inner primary cover?
If left alone it will leak oil big-time. I considered drilling and tapping it and put a plug in it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

13/16" freeze plug. Here's a link with pictures. Local auto parts Dorman part number 555-013. I went to Oreilleys I'm sure others have it too

I like the 13/16" expansion plug but seems no one local has it. O'reilleys has it listed for .39 cents each but out of stock. Amazon has it in stock for a bit over $21. I will figure something out. You guys have been a great help. This is a great forum.
I thought about the Black RTV sealant but as slick as the chrome is I am afraid it might not hold and will come out.

Hole in Inner Primary Cover for mid controls
Unless your 11' is different than my 14', there is a small little round gasket that seals the hole between the inner and outer cover halves.
Whether the holes are there or not doesn't make any difference. Unless your new outer cover doesn't have the tube cast in it??
