reverse polarity in rear brake light
I just did a big bore kit, pipes, paint on my 2007 Harley wide glide. (FXDWG) I also put new chrome on handlebar so i had to splice in front running lights/blinkers. I hooked up wiring harness and here's the problem. Everything works except the rear tail lights brightness is reversed. So essentially brake light is running light and running light is brake light. Additionally, the rear brake pedal doesn't activate/work either way. switch may be bad or I bled it incorrectly (it worked before build). I checked all connections and grounds 5 times over. Please help!!!!! this is like my 4th build and I feel foolish not knowing whats going on.

It has a little rubber boot around it, and it's a common error to rip that rubber when re-installing the grip.
If the rubber is torn the front switch will always be on.
You can pull the brake lever and reach in there with a small screwdriver or something and push that switch to test,, push it in for off, let it out for on.
