Default Upper Triple Tree Question

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before.. I've looked around and can't seem to find the answer. I am looking to change the integrated riser upper triple on my 09 street bob, and I found a triple that the seller shows to be a smidge under 49mm where it would attach to the forks, but other than that has no information as to model/fitment. Does anyone know the inner diameter? I'll try and attach a picture to better explain the dimension I am looking at.

It should be 49mm. Hence 49mm forks.

Not sure what price you're looking to pay, but: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...l#post15072680

And I saw this earlier today. Not mine... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Tripl...9XJPUo&vxp=mtr

Jeff

Thanks for the response, I figured as much but just wanted to ultimately make sure. I saw that ebay post as well as the link to the v-twin part. I was looking at this ebay post specifically:

Granted the bottom triple is broken, the top seems to be fine

That's a great price, and I hope you win. Hopefully you didn't turn someone on to it that will outbid you now...

If you look at the placement of his caliper (like my sketch on the left), it's not getting the full diameter like it would if he was perpendicular to the hole (sketch on right). It should measure a tiny bit over 49mm to allow the fork tube to slide in and then reduce to clamp the tube as the bolt is tightened.

A word of caution...There are two rakes on Mid-glide trees. SBob (regardless of integral risers or not) has 0° and Low Rider which has a positive rake.

You can't mix the trees

'06 and newer Super Glide trees should interchange with Street Bob trees if I'm not mistaken. All other Dynas are different.

I'd shy away from buying a set of trees that have obvioulsy been in a accident.

FYI I went with Chassis Design Company trees on my 2010 and was very happy.
