I ordered up a Custom Dynamics lighted plate frame, and backing plate, and just screwed it on to the small piece of remaining plastic. The HD part has reinforced ribbing on the back, plus it's injection molded plastic, so I didn't ruin any of the structural integrity by cutting off all that plastic. The plate wire was simple. I just took the harness from the deleted plate light on this mount, and tapped the Custom Dynamics wires right into that. The entire project took about 1.5 hours. The longest part was trying to run the signal and plate wires back in the fender channel without jacking up the bike. All total, the project was about $80.

Great Biker Gear sells this kit that looks good, but I did not like the fact that the plate mount is flat. Looking back at it, I guess I could just mount my curved frame to the plate mount. Still, that would end up being a $200 + mod.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! Looks great! I was thinking going full fender but I'm digging your setup. Plus it'll save me some $$

After more than a month, here they are 13" black tracker custom made. After ~500km I'm amazed of how it changed the ride. Both 2 up and solo, the bike handle like a dirt bike and no more rear end wobble when turning fast. It handles pretty well rough Québec streets for those who been up here before lol. I'm a happy customer thanks for the awsome service to Works for spending almost 2 hours with me on the phone. I'm also recommend the "aggressive setup" too, yes it feels stiff but remains confortable for the long rides.

The extra ground clearance is a huge plus too. A set of bags can always hide that gap.

After bottoming out at 100mph (closed course, professional rider) the other day I'm now in the market for some Hagons. 13 or 13.5? Mostly fast highway use (140 miles a day as quick as possible).

I think both would be great choice and would improve the ride a lot. I ride fast highway (80-90mph) 2up with my 13" and never bottom out. Like I said, I went with the aggressive spring rate too.

12 inches here. Learning to ride/lean properly makes a big difference. At 12 inches I'm still slightly higher than stock height without the fender gap. I can take twisties double the intended speed limit without scraping. Function and looks all in one without making my bike look like an overweight dirt bike. It'll never be a sportbike but I can at least keep up during a group ride with the rest of my group who ride sportbikes. If i really want to tail my guys I have a sportbike for that purpose. I'm only a couple minutes behind them after a good circuit run. All veteran riders and track guys.

If you really need to go that fast and that hard in a tight corner at 100mph go buy a sportbike. It'll perform 10x better and cost you a lot less.
