I can't seem to get the buffeting on my HD 1/4 fairing to stop. I've adjusted it, and it did help slightly, but now the fairing leaves a 1" gap between the headlight and the gasket.
I may be getting one of these and trying it. I was trying to feel where the air came from last night, and I do get some air coming upwards, probably because I have a 3" tank lift, so there's more space for the air to travel upwards.

I'm not a fluid dynamics guy or an aerodynamicist, but it seems to me that buffeting is caused buy high pressure air collapsing into the low pressure area behind the fairing/windshield near the rider's head. It seems this would be speed dependent. Above and below a certain speed it should ease up, correct?
Following that logic, without changing the size/angle of the windscreen, it seems you would want MORE air flowing UP right behind the windscreen to push that turbulent air over your head.
That, or lay down the windshield some.
