Default New fender...powder coat or paint

I have a new wrap around style front fender for my wideglide that I bought to protect my oil cooler. I also have a 300 yard gravel coated bobsled run/motor cross track complete with water hazzards for a driveway.
Should I have it painted or powder coated? Would the powder hold up better against stone chips and still look 1/2 decent? I can see merits both ways. What do you think?

How are you planning on getting stone chips on the front fender?

Occasionally the front wheel kicks up a stone. I have 2 chips in the trailing edge of the front fender and one in my tank already.
