Default Screamin Eagle sound

I installed my Screamin Eagle slip ons today. They are better than stock. I saw a video that said if you want to increase the sound even more that you remove the tip, pull out the baffle, remove the insulation wrap, reinstall the baffle.

True or bullshit?

You can do it, but you will probably loose low end torque.

Why? Based on what? Because they are not loud? Not everyone wants loud and they have very little choice in that case. Have you seen dyno charts showing poor performance from them? (All of this relating to the SEs, not the TTI)

You have pics of that? Seen VH straight shots with the ends cut off and they came out nice. What is that on your avatars lap? Gizzards? Nards?

why ask why? did you read the op's post?
"[...] I saw a video that said if you want to increase the sound even more[...]"
you ALWAYS have a choice, don't you? who said anything about performance? you think you'll get a performance boost from current breed of SE street rated slip-ons? seriously? do you like apples? how do you like them apples?

You didn't say what year or model you have, so you might have cats in the head pipe. If that's the case the cats will dampen the sound before it reaches the mufflers.
