Well, that's some darn good news! Sounds like a legit morale booster... I hope it goes well!

Gonna be tough! Take it slow. You'll need some time to rebuild your lungs and muscles.

I was running 5 miles a day (3-4x wk) before my accident and I'm just now back on the treadmill walking. I can only run about a mile now. Atrophy sucks. Best wishes!

It was, I'm signed up for a half at the end of October so i'm gonna keep at it. Worst case, it's a run walk event.

Could you run a half before your spill? If so, I would think you could be back to it by Oct. You were only down for 8 weeks or so, right? Any pain, or is it all reconditioning?

Hang tough! I'm right there with ya...sorta...lagging way behind and waving you on to let me get eaten by the natives.

yeah, i've been doing ultras for years. my left ankle is still funky and right arm is wierd too. so every other foot fall is semi painful. the reconditioning will be the hard part outside of the pain.

Meh, you'll be fine! Anybody that can run an ultra can push thru some pain.
