Hey all, I just came across this thread and it reminded me I had a few smudge spots on my tank trim as well.

My tank trim is glossy unlike OP's, was there any suggestions that you all gave that you do NOT recommend for glossy?

I washed the bike today and used some simple green as suggested above and that seemed to help some, but didnt totally take it away. Could maybe just use some more, and more ummpphh.

OP, did you try any of the suggestions yet, what worked best for you?

A little Armour All on a rag or sponge will take it off quickly. Been using it for years when the wax gets on the gray plastic parts or trim grooves.

 

Pig spit or Chemical Guys Black on Black will clean it right up
