Default Should it be like this?

So my trap door looks like it has been badly worn. I can't remember if it should be indented or not (been a while since exhaust was put on) noticed this when my exhaust stud broke and heat shields cracked. Exhaust back on and secured again, been riding. Just trying to see if a new trap door is recommended when I replace the exhaust.

Fun note: my bro got a sawicki pipe and tune on his dyna, and yeah, gotta get a 2-1. But which one you ask? Good question I say. Been eye'n the bassani road rage.

You should be fine. When you mount the new exhaust you might want to put a washer or two behind the mount just to keep things in-line with each other.

This ^. Unless it throws off the spacing. You want the bracket to sit flush everywhere. Otherwise you will get wear. Especially when steel parts contact aluminum.
