Got a 99' TC88 here cant decide what to get Reaper 525's or S&S 551's, I have ordered the SE hydraulic tensioner kit, S&S adjustable rod kit. What else should I get. I ride kinda wild so get up and speed are where I am at. Not trying to do too much engine work.

 

I put the 551 in my 05 88TC and was happy with the results, but they are definitely on the more mild side. The E-Z start function of the 551 is great if you plan to do more engine work, but if cams are your only big engine mod, I'd say there are more punchy cams out there for you.

I'm interested too because I'm thinking about putting the 525s in my new Dyna! Different people swear by different brands and cams but I think the most important thing is to decide where you want your power and then just pick a brand and roll with it

 

they are too small a cam on a dyna just my opinion...
